| Most of my photo's are
licensed under the creative commons licensing system, the designation
being CC BY-SA Which means: "....lets others remix, tweak, and build upon my work even for commercial purposes, as long as they credit me and license their new creation under identical terms. This license is often compared to "copyleft" free and open source software licenses. All new works based on mine will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also allow commercial use." In plan English: Use my photos, worldwide, for any purpose whatsoever free of charge. You are free to resize, crop, manipulate, tweek or render the photo in any way you see fit, even to the point where it doesn't resemble the original. Your only obligation, you MUST attribute the photo to me and use the same license for any subsequent use, whether by you or another party and it MUST contain the same license and attributes to me, Jim Mountford. All of which is imbedded in the file information of my photographs.
Any photo that shows a recognizable likeness of a person will not be covered under the license, nor will they be available in a useable form. The only exception would be if I have a model release, of which at this time I have none. I will note any exceptions in the future. |
